About Michael Duprey
Music has always played an important role in the life of Michael Duprey. With two years playing the flute, five years classical violin, two years classical piano it wasn’t until the summer of 1984, when he fell in love with being a DJ. Starting at the age of 14, Michael began DJ’ing at on the Lower East Side of New York in neighborhood block parties known as “Jams”. Soon thereafter, Michael was DJ’ing at major venues in NYC nightlife in the late 80’s – early 90’s. With guest spots at The Underground, Palladium, Tunnel, 10:18 and The Saint, he has definitely moved the crowd.
Michael has spun many different genres of music ranging from hip-hop, rap, freestyle, club, top 40, classical, lounge, jazz and house music. Michael has also spun in every media; vinyl, CD’s and now has made the move to using a laptop. Using Traktor, Hercules RMX console, and a substantial amount of music, Michael continues to move the crowd for over twenty years.
Reestablishing past relationships with Scott Wozniak, Matt "Dirty Turk" Agostini (AudioJazz) and forging new ones with Luis Baro (XM Radio), Bobby Morales (House Masons), Markus Rice (House Masons), Greg Cuoco (Aqua-Booty Records), Adam and Flora Cruz (Mixtape Sessions), Kenny Summit (Ultra Records) the list goes on.
